Heavy gold moire silk ottoman, strapless evening dress with heart-shaped neckline. The dress is a semi-princess line with the front cut in one piece. Fabric folded over hips to suggest panniers, and the skirt is pleated in the center back. Back zipper closure. The bodice is boned, and lined with black acetate. Deep red wool Women's suit has two pieces from the late 1940s to early 1950s
This deep red wool woman's suit has two pieces. The single-breasted jacket has five covered buttons down the front and a small shawl collar. The long, straight sleeves have turned-back cuffs. Draped peplum on the back and sides is caught up with self-cords tipped in brass. The collar is also caught up with brass tipped cords. The skirt of below-knee length is a slightly flared "A" line. Woman's black and white wool tweed coat with an all-in-one collar and lapels that turn into a single button closure coat. Red wool is used for the lining, and is the trim at the side front pleats. Woman's cocktail dress. White lace, one piece dress with slip. Dress is fitted to the body without waistline seams. Peter Pan collar, sleeveless, flared skirt. Center back zipper. Three wide bands of bias horsehair to maintain circle skirt effect. White taffeta slip has fitted bodice and full circle skirt. This zenaloy-plastic armshell chair, in the collection of The Henry Ford, is constructed by molding a thermosetting resin reinforced with gray glass fibers. The metal base is made of bent aluminum wire and is attached to the shell with rubber shock mounts. Embossed on the bottom with Herman Miller Logo and Patent Label.
