Women's suit with black velvet jacket from the early twentieth century
This woman's suit has a black velvet jacket that has a collar, cuffs, and pocket flaps that are ecru wool with black and tan houndstooth check. The jacket has slits on its sides and in its back, and weights are on the side flaps. The jacket has an ecru satin lining. The skirt has a slight gored line in a wool fabric of ecru and black checks that match the collar and cuffs of the jacket. A black velvet underskirt hangs about 6" below the wool.
