Dinner dress of dark gray crepe with a bodice and sleeves accented with gray embroidery and beading of steel beads done in a diamond pattern. Tassels of steel beads terminate from the center of each diamond. The skirt has a slight gathering over the hips and soft gathered detail on the right front, which gives softness and detail to an otherwise plain skirt. Beaded Ice Blue Satin Wedding Gown with Scalloped Train, 1938
Ice blue satin wedding gown, which according to the designer, was "inspired by the simplicity of ancient Grecian art." The gown has beaded decoration at the waist in an acanthus leaf pattern and a four-and-a-half yard scalloped train. Frances Dodge, for whom the gown was made, also wore a veil of ice blue illusion bound with blue satin held in place with a tiara of illusion decorated with seed pearls. Girls angel costume of pink silk crepe with skirt and draping of bright pink silk net. The waistband is of orange and fushia flowers. Pink and lavender ribbons are used for front and side emphasis. The wings are of gold mettalic tissue covered with gold sequins. The skirt has edging of gold braid. There are three additional accessories which include pink satin slippers with pink ribbon laces, an orange and fushia flowered headband, and a quiver of gold arrows.
