Dr. Hilberry retired as WSU president June 30, 1965, after 35 years with the University, Malcomson and Higginbotham, 1896. Partnered with the DeRoy Auditorium, Yamasaki’s form-making derived much of its strength from the careful compositional massing of pure forms and pattern repetition of surface elements.
