  • Coral Earrings, about 1910

These are odd earrings- they are very poorly carved and are very low quality cameos. The setting into which they've been placed seems makeshift and perhaps even a repair or replacement. It seems plausible that these are early twentieth century souvenir pieces from Italy.

  • Dress Coat, about 1790-1810

A very fashionable warm weather coat for a man, perhaps even a"dandy."The thin and barely lined, large pockets on interior skirt were very popular circa 1800.The coat is a rare survival.

  • Women's Slippers, about 1800

This style toe was popular in the very late 18th - early 19th century. While these are called slippers, they were actually fairly fashionable shoes. The heel on this pair is very fashionable. The handwork suggests that these were custom made.

  • Dress Suit, about 1800

The Henry Ford's only late eighteenth/early nineteenth century dress jacket with breeches. No waistcoat to go with the suit.Worn for very formal occasions, perhaps even for presentation at court.Embroidery clearly pieced.First sewn, then cut out, and finally applied to the jacket and breeches.Poor extensive repairs for a modern wearer.Perhaps at one time used for twentieth century theater productions.

  • Mourning Ring, about 1790

There is no date on this piece, but the classical urn and the straight uncomplicated dress of the mourner make it appear to be late eighteenth century. This is a very simple, almost crudely rendered scene.
