  • Collarless Wool Felt Day Coat with Checked Underfront, 1940

    Gray-green wool felt day coat with lining and under-front of green and gray checkered wool. The outer coat fastens with a zipper and the under-front with gray buttons. The diamond detailing down either side of the front creates pockets. This item was owned by Frances Dodge (November 27, 1914 – January 24, 1971), who was the eldest daughter of John Francis Dodge (co-founder of Dodge Motor Company) and his third wife, Matilda Rausch Dodge (Wilson).
