    These shoes were custom made to match a turquoise chiffon and satin evening gown (object number 89.492.559), made by Peggy Hoyt for Mrs. Firestone in May 1928. Edward Cohen was a preferred shoemaker for Elizabeth Parke Firestone in the 1920s. Born in Decatur, Illinois in 1897 Elizabeth Parke married Harvey S.     This straight, pinkish beige jersey women's evening coat has elaborate pink and gold braid trim. There is a small, high double turnover collar suggestive of a mandarin. The coat has a one button closing, and a beige lining. Label: "D. J. Healy Shops, Detroit."
