    This woman's sleeveless tennis dress has a square neck and is made of a heavy, cream-color cotton fabric. It was made by Mrs. Robinson. The donors were daughters of tailor John C. Wettlaufer from whose shop the dress came.

    Womn's three piece, creamy white wool knit tennis dress. The hip length jacket (a) has a small collar, and long, straight sleeves that botton closed at the cuff. It has two side pockets, and a single button closing below the bust for freedom of movement. The mid calf skirt (b) has pleats at its sides, and a hook and eye side closing. The V-neck dickey (c) is sideless, and sleeveless. It is a slip-on garment with elastic ties at its sides. Worn by donor's mother, Marion Scherer Livingstone.

    Woman's two-piece suit of gray / black light-weight serge has a long jacket with a round neck, and a yoke of three curved strips with three black button closures having bound buttonholes. The rest of the jacket hangs open. The long sleeves each have a matching band and black button at the cuff. The lining is black silk..     This woman's black velvet and ermine cape is comprised of a straight tube of black velvet that is a below- knee-length. It is lined with white satin in a rice-paper pattern. The cape has armholes at shoulders, and a wide shawl collar of white ermine. It dips down in back to below waist length, and a band of ermine runs down the front to the hem. The collar is lined with black satin, and the velvet inner-lined with white wool. The cape is without fastenings though they may have been removed.…

    Woman's rayon daydress having an off-white and brown leaf print pattern. The machine-sewn chemise has short sleeves, and a mock shawl surplice neckline of off-white rayon. Its skirt has a double pleat at the left center-front, and a single pleat at the center back. A self belt is set in the right side seam. Self bows at the tops of the sleeves. Worn by the donor's mother. Mass market, possibly mail order.
