    This man's beaver fur overcoat is double breasted and fastens in the front with five "frogs" and ten fur covered buttons. it has a slash pocket on each side, and two breast pockets in its interior. The sleeves have turn-back cuffs, and the coat is lined with black sateen. The beaver pelts were obtained from American Indians living north of Grand Marais on Lake Superior in 1883.
