Some content, including the item here, have similar titles. This type of overlap many times has origins in the item's original physical form. For example, with the Virtual Motor City Collection, photographs were grouped in envelopes with a few descriptive words written on the front. Those words then formed the basis for titles.
This Chest of Drawers, in the collection of The Henry Ford, consists of a castano and sequoia burl veneered exterior surface across the front two doors. At the center is an inlay that forms three horizontal lines. The interior contains six drawers with brush chrome pulls. On the back is the inscription '3192/43'. This piece is the same version that was designed for the 1933 Chicago World's Fair and used in "Design for Living House".
