Herman Miller Molded Plywood Lounge Chair


This Molded Wood Chair, in the collection of the Oakland Museum of California, has a wood seat. The seat, backrest, frame, and legs are covered with walnut veneer over the molded plywood. This product was first manufactured by Evans Products in 1945. Herman Miller became the distributor in 1946, and in 1949 the manufacturer.
