Crepe-backed satin cocktail dress from the late 1930s to mid 1940s

Woman's crepe-backed satin, below knee-length cocktail dress in olive green with loops of pink. A small sequin centers each of the loops. The bodice has short sleeves, a high round neck with a slight turn-over at the throat, and a slit down the center front that is fastened with a hook and loop. The back is draped, and has a cut out from the nape to shoulder blades. The natural waist has a waistband, and the skirt and bodice are gathered so as to appear to tie in the center front. The skirt is fairly straight and has a side zipper. Labels: "Hattie Carnegie" and "Stanley Korshak, Chicago."
